Uruk-Hai
Brand:
TV
Serial:
TV5052
Year:
2024
Theme:
The Lord of the Rings
Biography:
The Uruk-Hai are a formidable breed of Orcs in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, appearing most prominently in the Lord of the Rings films. They are a stronger, more disciplined, and sun-resistant version of Orcs, bred by Sauron to serve as superior soldiers.
While the film doesn't explicitly state a first appearance for a specific character named "Uruk-Hai," the Uruk-Hai are first depicted as a force when they attack the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen. The army is led by Lurtz, who is the first Uruk-Hai seen being "born" from the mud. This marked the entrance of a more dangerous foe for the heroes.
The Uruk-Hai are typically armed with scimitars, axes, and shields, making them fearsome in close combat. Their role is as elite shock troops and frontline warriors in Sauron's armies, and later in Saruman's army during the War of the Ring. They display greater cunning and discipline than common Orcs, making them a significant threat to the free peoples of Middle-earth.
